I've been looking for quotes for new policies and adrian flux quoted me 2800, telling me that it was so high because of the security on the gen 2. The guy then advised me to look into third party fire and theft and the price dropped to 1800, which is cheaper than anywhere else have offered me. SOOooo its a maybe, but I dont like the idea of third party fire and theft. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts?

are you 17 with 4 at fault accidents living in the bronx?

ask them what it would be if you got a thatham cat one installed..

if you do crash it you can fix it with the £1k you saved.. from not getting fully comp, to be honest if your insurance is that high there's no way your going to make it higher for anything other than a total loss anyway.

:lol 21, 1 accident not at fault, but insurance companies do not like the BB9 area. They told me it would be about the 2100 - 2200 mark with a thatham cat one installed.
Thanks lidl you've given me a better way to think about! :thumbup

a laserline cat 1 will set you back a couple of hundred, so if it's going to knock that much off, its worth considering also.. plus the piece of mind.

I'm going to go 3rd party fire and next time I insure. Realsitically, if you where shunted or involved in a shunt, they would probably write the car off if the damage is more than worth repairing (in their eyes). TPFT offers a lot of the benefits of a fully comp policy and if its saving you £1000, then go for it!
