Post here how bad a mate's, some you know's (or your own but you are embarassed to say) car history is...

One mate I only knew through the MGZR website. He went through around 4 MGZR's and the last one I knew he had was an immaculate model. A ZR 120 - special edition red, with white powdercoated wheels... subtle yet beautiful.
He was meant to trade for a Clio 172 Cup but instead traded down for an old box-shape clio Arbath. That was badly modified and covered in scratches, it had a huge drilled hole in the airbox too for a "sporty sound".
He just sold THAT and got a saxo VTR (yes that is VTS only spelled wrong and slow!). bad enough on its own as I HATE Saxos and the people that drive them, but it's got black powdercoated wheels with silver centre caps (plastic so can't be powdercoated, and not bothered to spray them), entire back of the car stripped out including all carpet, 2 "Cobra" fixed bucket seats in and (worst of all) a "show cage" in the back! Also the MASSIVE stainless exhaust sounds ridiculous!

Why do some people have such passionate cars then get worse and worse???

Does anyone know a mate with a terrible car history?

(P.S. NO MG/ROVER BASHING!!)

mate of mine had a 'show' 1.4 206. it had a massive bodykit on it, 16" wheels, stapled white lether install in the boot. the bodywork was well done, but didn't look good. he then went on to buy a silver BMW 318i with beige interior.

Another mate had an AX which ended up with 'dodge' sytle stripes. then a Rover 214 which he wrote of into the back of Greg Rudzeski(don't know his surname properly, the tennis player) on the M1, then got a mazda 626 2.0 the cam blet snapped, got another rover 214 and blew the headgasket, he now has a black KA :lol

a well done saxo, despite the press about them are actually really good cars. One of my best mates had a lovely one, with uprated cams, standalone, exhaust (couldnt tell from looking behind) the lot. got written off by a crazy polish lady who flew into him when he was parked up..

But, ive never had so much confidence in a car as i did with that

:lol yes i agree there (he previously had a 1.1, then a vtr) but not a roode boy, just a car enthusiast but that thing was good

12" disks 270's standalone etc etc - and my god that thing was like a go-kart.

Yes, if you hit anything above 5pmh youre dead :lol but hey, it was thrilling. Lightweight, pointy and most of all a real screamer - theyre dangerously eager to be pushed - maybe again down to the weight, i dunno.... but not 'alf bad for a 1.6.

And he had the supersprint exhaust :lol so a 2" exit pipe was all that could be seen :lol
