I just found the same on on ebay from the same company, but £50 more. odd.

I am gutted i contacted people and searched around and I can't seem to be able to get a double din trim part to replace th single din trim which is fitted as standard for Mk 1 couple. This part only seems to be available for Lefthand drive cars

Does anyone know how or anyone who has modded a single din trim part into a double din and has made a good job of it? Or has any advice concerning this mod??

Otherwise I might have to settle for one with a fold out screen, but the double din looks so much better!!!!!

Only trouble with these double/single din screen units is you cant take the bu**ers out when you park up anywhere. which runs a high risk of the car being broken into. Can't have anything these days without the thieving scum trying to get their hands on it.

Yeah that's what I have been looking into.

I wanted to really know the best way to finish the plastic. Like hiding and tidying scuffs and sorting out edges with curves and radius'.

Any ideas? Or tips?

lollypop sticks, lots of fibreglass, then bodge and patience.

I have been looking into dashboard dashboard servives or kits to remove the scuffs once I have shaped the trim piece.

Any idea of how good these services or kits are? The photos I have seen on the net appear pretty good.
