Ive been looking to buy a new spoiler for my Gen2. Problem is the one ive found doesnt have a brake light on it. my question is what are the legal issues with removing the third brake light?

Will I need to put a replacement one somewhere in the rear window or is the car gona be road legal with out it? Also could it cause problems come MOT time?

any help/advise would be much appreciated!!

as far as i know a 3rd brake light it not a legal requirement so long as there is at least one brake light on each side of the car, but if it is there it has to work. hopefully someone can confirm this.

One red light to each side of the car when brakes applied. I de-spoilered my gen1 and therefore just had the 2 lights, passed fine...

as long as you have the 2 that are fitted within the tail light units then its legal - 3rd is optional.....

Yeah, done a google currency calculater thingy, worked out around that figure. Seems like a decent price and havent found it cheaper anywhere else.

yeh that price is alright, not been able to find the spoiler anywhere else though.

I think I saw it a couple months back on another site but cant remember the address. Wasnt realy paying attention to it at the time.
