We've got a holiday planned in the summer to go to France and I'm taking the coupe. I know I need to display either a GB sticker or have a GB logo on my plates. I'm leaning towards the GB logo plates as I don't want to start sticking stuff to my paintwork. If I have GB logo plates do I need the GB logo on both plates, or just the rear plate?

2 solutions to consider. If you want a GB or Euro Sticker on your car put some petroleum jelly on the car & put the sticker over it... Works a treat.... Or just have number plates made up with the Euro emblem....

We went to EuroDisney a couple years ago - I just got a couple of stickers for the front and rear plates, no worries...

Don't forget the bulb kit and triangle, reflective vests etc - theres a thingy in Halfords that details the legal requirements of your destination of choice. Don't risk it, YOU WILL BE FINED...

I always use a magnetic GB plate, that way they come off without a mark, although the new car has euro plates until I get them changed

I did a trip through Europe last year and got all the specs for the different countries. Generally in the EU your rear plate must have an EU flag on it (the circle of stars). Failing that you need a GB sticker.

As I was going through Switzerland (not in EU!) I had to have a GB plate. Personally I'd put get a GB magnetic sticker. Costs a few quid and its peace of mind. Most important though are the light deflectors (they come off easily with a bit of neat screenwash) and your luminous jacket. You need this in the car not in the boot. The ferry chap said put it over your head rest so the cops can see it.
