K cheers,
I'll probably call them first just to get an idea and then get my broker to barter (thats what we pay them for)

Ok spoke to Sky first and they come up with a quote of £300 plus £250 excess no problems with badges or the SRI mod (which isn't done yet)
Then phoned Adrian Flux and they came back with a quote of £273 plus £250 excess again no problem with the badges and as long as the SRI mod doesn't increase the BHP by 10 then no extra charge

Currently paying £353 with £120 excess so looks like im changing soon.

Only problems we had was with the listing of our occupations in that My wife is a freelance writer (who writes for magazines, brochures, websites etc) so it was a toss up between journalist or publisher (publisher was more fitting) and then the person on the phone giggling when i try to explain that my job is selling mens underwear online (closest was shop manager)

Has anyone had to deal with sky regarding a claim. Great that they are the cheapest but what are they like when you actually need them?

Yup gathered that but as a broker part of their job is to handle claims on your behalf so im just wondering how well they performed when you actually need someone to fight on your behalf

Ok back to sky and they've now gone to £260 so £13 cheaper than adrian flux for the same

So now with Sky insurance so a whole £93 cheaper than we are currently with.

Only problem i had with sky is that i took the breakdown cover when i had the insurance. They took the money but didnt send any info on contact numbers etc for if i broke down. After 2 phone calls requesting this info and getting nothing i cancelled the breakdown cover and after abt 6 weeks got my money back.

I hope they manage a claim better if i ever need it.
