hig got me going as he thinks the ford capri is ugly.iv owned two,and if they were easy to run these days i had another OVER the coupe!! but it seems to be a young man thing that capri's are ugly.any opinions on them?

its not a young man/ lad thing at all im only 23. since i knew wat a car was i have always wanted a capri, ans as you dupe i would have a 2.8v6 capri over anythin really, or maybe one of the earlier 3.0capri`s

capris are the dogs knackers,i prefer the pinto engines to the v6s though,u just cant beat a 2.1 litre pinto with twin 40s and a fast cam,old fords are the best,ive actually got a capri shell in my mates garage its a 1.6 laser,ive also got a mk1 ford fiesta in my own garage,ongoing projects a long way from completion.

Am i right in thinking that there oldschool carbuerreta style engine's?

yeah there are, but its fairly straight forward as far as engine swaps go to get a 2.9 cosworth injection from a mondaeo or scorpion to fit almost straight in. bit of nice air take zorst and chippage should see close to 250bhp then and modern engine reliability.
