Tuscani Spoiler

It wouldn't be right to have a new Forum without the ubiquitous 'Tuscani Spoiler' thread!

Anyway....to those of you who followed this saga, you'll be interested to know that I finally recieved mine a couple of hours ago!

Poor Matt at Performance Coupe has had an awful time getting these spoilers, but it would appear to be worth it. These ones are genuine Hyundai ones with the hologram stickers etc and are a direct swap with the standard one. So minimum hassle hopefully!

I'll post pics once fitted, most likely 2nd or 3rd week of January.

Thanks (eventually) to Matt for his efforts in getting these into the country.

from what i have seen of others - philmonk (canr remember other guys sorry!) it looks amazing!

yep it is a brillian spoiler and does change the look of the car.

two questions, has anyone else received theirs yet, I've heard nothing from matt!!!?

and have you got yours fitted yet jum? i'd be really interested to know how you get on with it, if you could take pictures that would be great!!!

Matt has them now, so you should just give him a wee rattle and he'll send it out. Don't know why ha hasn't already......

Anyway, min's at the paint shop now and should be ready by Friday. I'll do a photo fitting sequence thing next weekend if I can.

The end of the saga is drawing near.....the spoiler has arrived!

Well almost, i wasn't in when it was delivered so have to go to the delivery depot to pick it up tomorrow morning, fingers crossed it's been sprayed the right colour - i think i'll burst into tears tomorrow

After 4 months of waiting it had better all go smoothly when I put it on. Pics would be much appreciated still Jim!

Check out my thread in Centre Stage, I'm doing a photo fitting sequence thingy on there. I'll be putting the spoiler on tomorrow.

Do you know if performance coupe have any more of these? I was a bit short of funds when he first got them, but I've rescued a couple of hundred pounds from the missus (she's got more shoes than Imelda Marcos).

hi jim, thought i'd post on here rather than hijack your DIY thread!!

Picked up from the city link depot today and unwrapped it...spray job is good, but i've not received anything else...

looking at your excellent photo guide last night I was expecting to have received the cable for the rear brake light and the brake light it's self.

can you just let me know if you got the above when you received yours please??

I got a new light fitting with the spoiler. Matt must have forgotten to enclose it. The one on the existing spoiler is identical however, so you can use it if you want. I would contact Matt first though.

The spoiler went on quite easily and looks awesome.

yeah, i thought the light would fit ok...but you got the cable with spoiler too?

do you think cable from old spoiler would be long enough to go into new one?

hi everyone, got my 2.7 gen3 coupe this week and i need a new spoiler, now i take it the tuscani spoiler is the big whop off one you see on the american version ?

if so who do i contact for one as i need onereally badly!!!

got some mods lined up for it already, sorted the stereo, fitting it next week

The cable is atached to the unit. I think the standard one would reach OK.

And done, but wasn't easy!!

Jim - thanks again for your pictures, made my life a lot easier!

I think I must have hands the size of shovels as trying to get that cable through the gap in the boot, through the hole and into the connection without taking off all the boot trin was a nightmare!!

only other problem i had was that the primer and spray had dried inside the screw holes for the brake light and i couldnt get them back in properly, so i've superglued it in place for now....pust need matt to send me through the breakelight and cable that was missing from the new one so i can put it back onto the old one for when i want to sell the car!

off to the car wash now!
