Hey i have a red gen 2, the colour is starting to go kinda pinkish gutted. If i keep it pollished you can't really tell but its annoying me! Anything i can do? Without getting the whole thing resprayed? How much is a re-spraying anywho? Of the original colour?

You should probably get it machine polished with some light cutting pads to remove the pink oxidisation, then use a polish, seal and good wax.

My wife used to have a red Astra which went pink, a days hard work with 2 bottles of Autoglym paint renovator, and Tcut for the really stubborn bits did the trick. A coat of super resin polish afterwards and it was done. Restored it back to red and was still red 6 months later when she saw the light and traded it in against a silver MG ZR
It is REALLY hard work, but is nice and cheap.

I've got some brown stuff on the roof of my Coupe, bloody birds. Anyway what is the best way to get it off? I'm planning on giving the car a wash tomorrow if all goes to plan. Should I just continue with my usual procedure? Soaking the car first with a hose and then using a mitt with the two bucket method. I assume directing my hose at the brown stuff to try and blast it off could damage the paint work?

Also how do you guys and girls get on with door and boot jams? The driver side jam seems to get dirty really quickly. Should I just open the doors and use my mitt whilst doing the bodywork? If so, how do you go about rinsing it as I can’t use my hose otherwise the interior will get wet? I suppose I could just rinse my mitt in clean water and go over the jams. I would then need to dry them too in order to be able to close the doors.

To be honest most of it came off when I soaked the car. Then I was careful when I washed it and everything seemed fine.
