yeah, we only started doing the cutting recently, but designs we have been doing for a while as part of the company branding offer it seemed like a logical step.. so I drummed several thousand pounds (and then some) into setting up the vinyl cutting side of things and well it's fun to design stuff for designs sake.. because company websites and branding all have specific purposes, to sell, to portray, to aid easy navigation etc.. car graphics only have one.. to look good.

If you want to get into it more, we could offer your designs to people on and cut you commision when anyone buys them. It would just be a case of setting up a category for your designs and vectorising them ready to be cut

Come to this thread a bit late I'm afraid.

My job as a designer for a company that manufactures Motorsport clothing involves me in the use of Graphics Software quite extensively. I have done a fair bit of vehicle graphics too and the package I use, and have always used, is CorelDraw.

This product is produced in Canada and is used much more in North America than over here. I'm onto CorelDraw X3 now having started out with CorelDraw 4 in 1995!

Much frowned upon in the UK in the early days, but now possibly the most impressive Graphics Suite available for the good old PC. Oh yeah, you don't need a Mac to be a graphics pro these days either. Just a good PC.

A good graphic artist can put virtual graphics onto cars so effectively that you really cannot tell it's not real. Check out Lidl's earlier post of Jezs car to see what I mean!
