Hi I have a gen1. It seems the tailgate leaks and drips water when it rains. Water drips from the plastic trm around the top of the tailgate when it's open. I've also noticed it getting a bit damp around the spare wheel. Anyone else had this, is there a quick fix?

Do you know how much they are roughly?

also, are they easy to fit?

fairly easy to fit cost wise no idea

yeah ive the same in my gen3 most days theres a puddle a inch deep in the spare wheel well, so so so much condensation on the back window because of it. will changing the seal work there too, i was just gonna drill a hole to let it drain out

you wont know til you change it.drilling holes does not solve the problem

If it's dripping from the plastic surround on the actual bootlid when you open it then I'd be inclined to suggest that the water is coming in through the rear washer jet hole.

If you pop the plastic surround off you'll be able to see up to where the jet sits and check for water or, in case it's hard to tell try putting some tissues up there and see if they get wet when it rains (or when you pour water on from the top).

If it is that then at the very least prise the jet out and clean around where it sits against the bootlid - although seating it in some silicone sealant would sort it out good and proper.
