Rear light tints

A1 - You remove the lamp unit from the car and spray the outside...

A2 - I think black would look good against the Silver, other folks may feel differently. If you like the idea, go for it - can always be removed later with a bit of effort...

Thanks for the the replies, ive seen those ones on ebay but i dont think they come with the bulb holders or bulbs, says something like that.

Guess i could give it a go ive seen some e-tech tint spray on ebay for 7 notes deliverd and some tint removal spray for another 7.

Ashgen1 did his with satin black - theres a guide about 1/3 way down... I would shy away from tinting spray, unless you want to risk the 'cheap chav' look. I'm sure you don't, and the Satin Black should remove easily with Acetone...

Its seems like alot of work looking at what they have done on new tib, im very lazy.

Are there any parts of the light i need to not spray or can i just spray it on then sand and clear coat?

Thats what I thought too - TBH, the only bits you could get away with not spraying are the reversing light areas. I recall these are in line with the indicatorrs, so these too would be better left unpainted otherwise they'll look a tad strange.

If you want some, I have some chrome bulbs to fit the indicators that will loose the 'Fried Egg' effect. They flash orange and are of the 'offset-pin' type. A Fiver incl P&P to you Owain, they can join the EVO caps :thumbup

Only have 2, matey - Macker was selling 'em a while back, dunno if he still is but you can find them on eBay too... They have a more noticable differance when fitted to the front, but those in the know can spot 'em in the rears too.

Let me dig them out and see if they still work OK (moved house 3 times in the few months) and I'll PM you later on... You DEFINATELY need the 'offset pin' type, yeah? Cuz some gen 1 run parrallel pin bulbs. Best check if you aint sure... :thumbup
