Right, im thinking of making a fiberglass bonnet for the my coupe (mk1).

Ive costed it up and to make a decent item, it looks quite pricey due to material cost of the mould, so basically im woundering if any of you boys (and maybe girls) would want one making up as well,

If theres some serious intrest then i would consider selling them at £100 each (which is mainly material costs), probably make 5-6 of them to get some money back for the mould.

how do you stand with your insurance on this body mod im just wondering because isnt the bonnet part of the crumple zone in case of a front end impact?

well its gotta be declared.fibreglass can be stronger than metal...........and depending where you hit it,weaker too

iv seen a coach front end survive hitting a truck............iv also seen one disintergrate
