Well unfortunatly I locked my keys in my car tonight and I had to smash the window. I spent 2 hours phoning around and knowone could help get my keys.

My central locking is a bit buggered and locks straight away. I have to pull the handle as I turn the key and as soon as I let go it locks straight away. I was taking stuff out of the car and bang the door slammed and of course the door locked.

Luckily I've managed to park somewhere secure, which I have to be out of at 7am in the morning. I'll be driving straight to work and will start phoning around the auto glazing companies for the best price. How much can I expect to pay?

A few years ago I paid £120 for a windscreen on a Polo, that was the cheapest.. the most expensive quote been over £500. I know passenger windows maybe more and they take a bit more time to fit.

Ah damn.. I'll defianlty be looking to see how much a spare key is now!!

It would be cheaper in the long run to replace the door actuators

I've been meaning to do the acutatars for a while, along with passenger side window motor and handbrake. I've just not had the cash/time.

Well I have rang around 5 auto glazing companies this morning. I was quoted £70-£262, but I had to go with one at £78 as the £70 one could not be done unitl tomorrow morning.

£78 includes them coming out, fitting and VAT. I was looking to pay around the £200 mark so that is very good.

I've found that the little one man companies charge way less than the bigger chain compaines such as Autoglass. It must be because they get most of their income from insurance companies.

Although, shoulda PM'd some people on here - it can be done without keys (as with most cars)
