Just looked at the old one from mine and think its 7 mm.You may pay a bit more but if u have one from performance coupe it will def fit.I got lucky and found one in my local car spares shop,the thread is a bit short but it does fit.You could have had mine but its blue so wont go with a silver car

Ok fitted my aerial, and the reception isn't the best. Also it doesn't srew in to the car all the way. I think the original must be a 6.5mm. Because of the design of the aerial I have to screw the thread into the car 1st and then the aerial onto that (otherwise it won't screw in at all).

The main problem with most of the ebay aerials is that the thread isn't long enough. It is the right diameter (in most cases).

What we really need is an adapter - a long 7mm thread with various standard threads on the top for different aerials.
