Gen2 coupe Y reg, the central locking which it has is a 'Toad' not sure if thats standard? but for some strange reason i can lock the car with the fob, but not unlock?? seems like on the passenger door too that someones had a go at the lock as its pushed into the bore of the door handle. Also as its a 1.6 it has black mirrors and door handles and im considering in getting replacement from the scrap yard as ive heard 2.0 silver coupes are most common. would changing the door handle fix the problem or is it the accuator? anybody else had this problem?

after having a good search in the forums and with what certain posts are saying, i do believe it could be the actuator, i did fail to mention that i am using the key to lock and unlock, but this does lock/unlock both doors at the same time, i think im going to take the door card off at the weekend n give a good greasing or would it be better just to mention the problem to a local garage and get them to change the actuator?
