Hi, got it sorted in the end - bought a new rubber seal from Hyundai for £65 approx and soaked it in hot soapy water before fitting it to the sunroof. I had a friend to help me fit it so we could do a side each without it falling off all the time. Anyway job done and it works a treat - worth the money

sixty five quid !!!! christ. why is it that a timing chain kit is 35 quid (cheap) but a roof seal 65 quid (not cheap) i think i will look for some edge seal from wher i work at cummings.

That's expensive. I sell 'em for £24.60 inc vat and fit 'em for £66.23 inc vat (for members anyway)

Recently purchased from Essex Park Hyundai (Chelmsford) for a 2000X 2.0SE Gen 2.

This item's part number, description, and price are as follows: 8161327000 "W/STRIP-SUNROOF" Unit Price, incl. VAT: £68.86

Taking on board georgeb's previous experience and advice, after soaking it in hot soapy water, I 'm hoping it's just a two-man "push on" item.

If anybody knows different, please feel free to share... :)
