I have seen this body kit and it is stunningly good!

It should be a case of taking the bumpers and skirts off and putting the new ones on, sometimes they do need adjusting though but your bro-in-law should find that easy enough.

Shouldn't be a problem mate, hardest part will probably just be getting that good colour match lol.

Not sure about the Outlaw kit, but I just bought a Ibherdesign poison elf front bumper for my Gen3 and the fitment looks pretty good.

Ibherdesign are generally fairly good. The bumper I got for my 206 a few years ago fit straight on, no mods needed

Try that for size mate.

for the clips I think it is £20 if you have to buy them for both sides? I know we had to pay a stupid price, thanks again to Hyundai.

out of curiosity what is the spoiler on the outlaw kits on that site? cos they dont come in either kit but theyre not standard, i dont know what they are but they look great with the kit

Sorry guys - have been off-line this week while on hols. The body kit hasn't arrived yet mainly because I haven't been here to confirm the order. Expect to take delivery over the next week or so. She's a gen 3 '02 1.6S with Ebony Black as the base colour. I've got Mirrors06 rims and exhaust which I'm going to fit over the next month or so.
We've filled and prepared the body for primer - check out the dents on the first photo where we marked her up. Hellfire, black is a sod of a colour to get right!



She's been my daily driver for years and as you can see has taken a right beating

Next up will be fitting Outlaw body kit and exhaust. Then will be the fun part painting her up - it's going to be a bit wild and definately marmite.

Thought I'd post a few progress update photos...

We've blocked and primed the body and have fitted up the Outlaw body kit. It took us 6 hours today to drill out the holes, grind out the high spots and make sure the kit fits the car properly. It sounds a long time but believe me this is the best kit I've ever come across. It fits so well, the fibreglass is a consistent and rigid thickness and the parts haven't twisted or distorted in transit.








Next week, we'll be blocking (not much to do mind) and priming the body kit. Initial top coats are due next Saturday - photos will be forthcoming!

Week after will be applying graphics, fitting cat-back exhaust, lexus-style chrome tail-lights and new alloys. Then it will be up to Peterborough for the club stand at the Modified Nationals

It's going to be touch and go. The body kit went into primer yesterday afternoon but reacted with some tiny pinpricks in the gel coat.

like i said looks great you will be able to sort out them problems within the week no problem.
cant wait to see it in person. Hopefully all finished though but i have no doubt it will be all done.

Was it over much of the parts or in just that 1 place? Ive found in the past, if you rub it back, clean it and put a coat of plasti-coat over the area then it sorts it...

Thats your best bet if you rub it back and it reacts again!

barrier coat may be a better option mate

It's no biggie - just irritating. I've rubbed it back this afternoon so we can skim a layer of filler on the worst bits in the am. thb most of the holes just filled up nicely with 2 pack - some just reacted badly. Weekend is booked up for body work and anything else that's needed

I have the feeling I'll be polishing and valeting next Friday night....

Sorted the pickling, painted and lacquered the whole and have bonded the sills.
