I bought my gen1 se auto about a month ago now and admittedly I dont know much about cars but I know what I like and I love driving my it, hell I love looking at it.

However, today I was driving through typical London traffic, had my foot on the brake, went to move forward a little, pressed on the accelerator and.........nothing. Couple of more presses and still nothing. The engine had cut out. I turned the car off and then back on again started fine and I drove on. Ask my Stepdad who drove it midweek and he said it happened to him too (why he didnt tell me I dont know) and it seems to only happen when you stop or are going really slow and then try to accelerate off.

People have been telling me its likely to just be a filter or some plugs needing to be replaced and a full service should clear it up. It passed its MOT 2 days before I bought it and so I would have thought that would have picked it up but I'm not sure exactly what they check. Like I said before I am no way near an expert but I was planning to get it serviced anyway but would this be able to pick up any faults and what should the cost be, I've heard 130-150. Just would like some ideas and suggestions before I take it to a garage so I dont end up with the garage trying to con me and overcharge or have my paying to replace things unecessarily.
