funny noise from clutch

my coupe is great, drives like a dream, but when i put my clutch in it makes a scraping noise???

but when i leave the clutch there is no noise, only when i put it in.

I recently had it service and i realised a spanner was left near the cam belt, that problem was resolved but this one continues.

Any ideas???

Agree with the previous posts, it's the thrust bearing.
I've got a Nissan Almera that's had the clutch noise exactly as you describe, I took it to a clutch specialist who diagnosed a noisy bearing and advised me to leave it and put up with noise.
That was 5 years and 85,000 miles ago......

The Gen 3.5 V6 has also got a problem clutch, in that it makes a sort of pinging noise as I pull away in 1st or accelerate hard in 2nd, usually worse when cold.
Anyway, service next month so they can look at it under warranty as it's only done 10,000 mls and isn't 2 years old yet.
