thanks to my CAI i managed to hydrolock my engine
any way i got my car back from the garage today all fixed up and the accelerator sticks resulting in over reving the engine.
i have lubricated the pedal linkage and the wire under the bonnet, my next thought is clean the throttle body but any idea's how i could fix this?

Carb cleaner is the stuff to buy if you need to clean the throttle body - do the deed with the engine off, or the engine behaviour will worry you greatly. Exercise the butterfly valve and use a paper towel to soak up the excess before starting...

you could take the induction system off, get someone to hold down the throttle (ENGINE OFF) and clean the gunk off around the tb
