Ive question about the Evo engine. Is the INTAKE CAM in the Evo from Hyundai Coupe 1.8 or is different one?? My friend has a normal Coupe 2.0 and he wants to change it. I told him that in Evo is the cam from 1.8 but now Im not sure. I found those two on kspec http://kspec.com/main.php?ac_id=79 . Could someone tell me which option will be the best for the normal 2.0l engine?? Will be this one from 1.8l or any from those two on this website???? While we are talking about the intake cam will any from those two change something(power) in my Evo or is not worth??

i did this last year, gives gains of around 7bhp, not very noticable but a change nontheless. I got the evo cam fitted by an ex-hyundai mechanic, dropped straight in, no need to re-tune the ECU or anything else. i paid two hours labour and a new head gasket. I think the evo cam is actually the same thing as a 1.8 Hyundai Elantra. It basically gives a slightly higher inlet duration, i cant remember the exact specifications, you should be able to find alot of info on the US forums, alot of them do this in the early stages of modding their coupes!

Ive got an Evo so I dont really need to change it but is just for my frien who wants to know if he need to look for one frome Evo or it could be frome 1.8 Hyundai Coupe\Elantra?? Mayby in future I will think about changing on mine but I dont think that any frome those two on kspec will change anything
