hi i have a 1997 2l coupe,just wondering how much a cam belt change will be,and is it worth changing the other belts. i live near birmingham.

To answer your question more directly:

A pattern part cambelt kit for your car is around £60 - incl belt and tensioner. Fitting will be around 2 or 3 hours - mine was £190 with an oil and filter change and a couple other little jobs. You dont have to change the accessory belt, but it has to come off so you might as well have it changed, would be less than a tenner for the belt.

the lad who done the work on my prev coupe worked for hyundai as a mechanic and he sed he wud replace belt and fit 4 total 70 quid
he sed belt was 50 thinkin bout gettin dun 2 me new 1 soon coz av bort it at 53000 and there no papers sayin it been dun so guessin it aint
