Hi people, just took delivery of an OBX 4 branch from the USA after 2 weeks of waitin i got it out of the box, the car and ramps and went to size things up and thats when i noticed the de cat pipe is to short and the o2 sensor hole is in the wrong place.....did hyundai alternate the exhaust sytem between the u.k and the u.s and has anyone come across this problew

not at all mate, this isnt a hyundai product, it is an aftermarket one.

any 4-2-1 manifold is never going to be a bolt-on bit of kit as the downpipe will be designed to be longer than any stock manifold will be.



sidenote though, you will want to install some form of cat or sports cat as if not it will reduce the power slightly

the most common thing thats done is that a new bung is drilled on the (3rd? iirc) branch and the sensor pops into that. Did with me anyhow.

As said, you'll want a sports cat grafted in at the least - then you can just cut the flanges where needed and extend it using the pipe that comes with it.

Fitment on my obx was grand, but thats odd that its short....

the actual 4 branch looks spot on and it looks like it'l fit to the extisting pipe coming out of the cat....may be a quick fix until i get a sport cat sorted...

i forgot to mention its the gen1....i hate front mounted cats

yeah, thats the problem - because the cat moves further on down (under the car as apposed to on the manicat) you can either get your sensor re-located to the branch, or extend the original wiring to go in the hole thats provided

gettin the hole relocated...one of the advantages of knowing a welder lol
