well to put it like it is i pulled full lock left onto my drive and the driveshaft popped out the gearbox about half a inch or so and dumped its gearbox oil on my drive
anyone had there coupe do this i aint put it back in yet just left it there

Yeah, I've had this before ages ago on a Fiesta - it's caused by the driveshaft retaining circlip being worn. You need to push the 'shaft back in until it clunks, tho it'll probably fall out again.

A new circlip is about 20p and fitting about £30 incl oil if you take it to a garage.

yeah i had it afew months ago, knocked it back in again, topped up with oil and not been out again since!

i put it back in a very technical way:

Broom through my passengers side wheel all the way up to the driveshaft, make sure it is pressed against it and give it one big whack with a hammer.

No issues at all with it since

Thats near enough the same as I used on the Fiesta - except I had a piece of 2x4 that levered handily on the block, deft shove and it was back in

a few interesteing repair methods coming out here

was gonna do it today but cleared the ice and snow off the drive around the coup
roast was then ready and thats about all for today then
