As above if my temp needle is at running temp and my heaters are set to full for heat etc. But they is no hot air is this down to a stuck thermostat? Is they anyway to release it???

we had this on ye old Gen1 and it isn't worth tryna fix it tbh, you can test it by puttin it into boiling water and see if it opens up or not, but I'd recommend a new thermostat as it most probably wont work properly again, ours never did and it was off and on sooooooo many times it's reeeeediculous

hang on, why would this be the thermostat? I cant see that at all - a stuck thermostat sends the temps up, as it is locked shut and doesnt allow the water to flow back round the rad to cool down.

Sounds more like an air block to me - the water isnt reaching the heater matrix, and in turn not getting blown through giving the hot air.

Check for an airlock/leak/low coolant level.

Must of been an airlock as androo says, Cause its fine now. started her up and after 5mins felt the hot air coming through. Thanks for the replies guys. Ill have to keep an eye on it. Coolant levels was fine by the way.

For future referance - the Gen1 thermostat housing is located on the RHS of the engine block (Battery Side, like) and is a largish unit lying roughly below the Coil Pack. There are 2 pipes in parallel coming out of it, they point towards the engine bay bulkhead, with the third connection being formed where it attaches to the block.
