Well, title says it all :lol

Firstly, what gets me is: XSPOWER uk- £270 delivered. XSPOWER US £150 delivered to UK :lol

Anyhow, im guessing only Faz & Macker have these, but any chance of tips, rating on difficulty etc.

ive heard that draining the AC isnt required - and that the starter motor plastic casing has to be removed, along with PS pump moved temporarily - any other big problems or did it run fairly smoothly?

thanks faz i may well need to :lol

I shopefully will be doing myself - yeah chances are its the SSA V1 - its been debaited whether there is actually a V2 as they all seem to fit the same, and if so why isnt there a v2 XS power one - and why keep manufacturing an old broken version?

Draining the air-con - what needs doing on that?

Wont be till the new year though

the air con pump has to come off, if its the v1's they may cause you a problem, according to new tib its just afew little bits that have to be done like the alternaor casing has to be notched to fit back over the headers and the lip on the oilpan also has to notched alittle now i never had this problem.............mine were alot worse lol, once the front and back headers were on (no fitment problems) the centre section was sat 12'' to 1 side of the catback flange so mine had to be cut in a few places and welded back up, took a full day to get mine on at £180, but he should have charged me £300

Ah. See, ive got 2 options - Get the DC sports ones for $525 delivered, and known as a perfecet fit, or the cheaper ones for $250 delivered.

Given its nearly $250 difference (£152) what would you personally go for, looking back?

As thats worrying, if the headers go on, and then i find out its a cruddy fit, im in poo as i havent a MIG welder at home :lol

Yeah Andy dont go the cheap route ... you'll end up paying more in the long run .
As Rik said with the regas ... it cost me £50 thats for the drain and refill a day later ;)

ouch, better save up for the DC sports ones then - buy cheap, buy twice I suppose - and the prices to fit exhausts round here is mental so i think i'll go with the more expensive option, thanks lads

£50?! Blimey, thats not cheap! Oh well...

Next question :lol as i have one after 04, ive heard that you cant simply just hang the rear 2 O2 sensors in the engine bay to avoid a cell light, and that i might need spark plug foulers to be screwed in so that the 02 sensor doesnt go in as far, thus reading less emissions so that it thinks the cat is still there ;) - faz is yours post 04?

yeah running rich is ok, as i'll be looking to tune - havent got it yet, but why are you looking to sell it?

did it trigger any cells? or warning lights? Because it might be running on limp mode ... hense it rich? mines already stupid rich in mid 9's

back 3 are fine but front 3 are at 13.5, yea im thinkng of gettin rid of the smt, basically the car is fast enough as it is, must be around the 200bhp mark now ill have to get it on the rollers, got my bonnet due any time and i think ill be done with big mods then as ive spent far too much on this now, closing in on 5k

alternativley you can get a mobile aircon guy to come and drain it for you.
the gas in there is a type of lubricant and apparantly when run dry can feck the internals of the pump up.
it was £54 for a regas at my house.

Ive ordered my DC Headers today from Funky Power. Whoop Whoop. Been quoted £5 to drain AC and £5 to re gas. Bargain!! Do the headers make the exhaust note deeper?

No, its a bus manufacturer and they do it day in day out and so as long as i can take the car down they'll do it as matter of course. Think that its just beer money for the mechanics to be honest. Im not complaining though.

Oooooh Faz you're selling your SMT? How much? I'll take it possibly ;)

I'm off all of January so my look at getting the headers on some time then, if Lakez ever txts me back as we made a deal for me to trade him my Siii rear bumper I bought but didn't fit and the stock Siii backbox for my Motoria catback back, then I can get the flange re-angled for the V6 again and fitted.

Apparently the headers I got last month on eBay are the same as Mackers so I can hopefully get them done at the same place ;) but how much does fitting and tuning an SMT go for these days?

fitting for me was about 1.5 hours, and complete tune from scratch 3 hours. But get it done properly, by a reputable company that use dynos - dont do it on the road...
