i am hoping someone can help !!!
i have a Hyundai coupe 2001 sx 1.8 liter 4 cylinder engine ,

i put fuel in on Friday ( it was running low at the line) drove about 20 - 50 ks then all all a sudden i lost power like trying to take off in 3rd gear and then it started misfiring sounds like its coming from underneath middle to front around where the gear stick is,

The misfiring is fairly constant even in reverse and also there is a smell not fumes weird smell.
I am worried that i might have got a bad dose of fuel but the service station assured me there was nothing wrong with there fuel and no other complaints have been made
Do you think its coincident that i fueled up that morning???
So we changed the fuel filter no change, tomorrow going to try spark plugs and leads.

Has this ever happened to anyone else before?
Any suggestions to what to try next should i drain the fuel out ?????

It certainly was faulty leads and spark plugs thanks for everyone who took the time to reply to my post
It was just coincidence that i got petrol that same day !
I am certainly glad to have it back on the road after 6 days with out it!
