Hi I would like some info on remapping or chipping my gen 3 1.6.. Is it worth getting done? what r the expected gains? How much will it cost?

or would buying a 2.0L engine be a better idea and would it be a straight forward switch. Really want to increase power but dont wanna get rid of my car

any suggestion would be appreciated

sell it.its not worth the cost modding a 1.6 even with a 2 litre you'll see limited gains.forget the idea and buy either a 2.0 or 2.7 if your even more power hungry

Slippy - numbers. How much power are you looking for? There are some pretty fixed amounts of cash you need to spend to get to certain points.

I know it's a never ending quest, but what would you be happy with, in bhp?
