Hi their. I have recently brought a 2002 gen 3 v6 coupe. It has a very nasty top end rattle. I think its the cams but i'm too sure, are these known for this. I've head vvt rattle on nissans must this is a lot worse than that. Can anyone shed anymore light on this.

Ive never heard of the top end going on the V6 ... the bottom end yes a few time people have said on here .

na double checked the V6 does not have CVVT how ever the 4 cylinder late model does. strange that but as my sofware is the american market coupe we here in good old blighty might be different but for now as far as i know the V6 does not have CVVT. either way a rattle is most certainly worn cam chain and guides not herd of a chain jumping off the cams but be safe dont take a chance.
