a Mitsubishi EVO 8 radiator has crawled its way into my engine somehow

2 column, 2 inch thick, direct swap, all you need is aftermarket hoses, Flex-a-lite fans, and some new brackets.

it runs beautifully! I took it for many drives and the temp always stays below the halfway line! i had seen a lot of pictures of the EVO 8 engine bay. it's nearly identical. Mitsu built the 4G63 engine in the early 90's elantra. That engine is awesome, it comes turbo ready. Therefore, the inlet sizes, and proportions are nearly identical. What's funny is the mounting studs are upside down to our Hyundais.


the only option we have for all-aluminum radiators is the expensive Koyo for new tiburons. they cost around $177 pounds. I bought this one for $100 pounds, it's cheaper and better. All that was trouble was aftermarket mounting brackets, but I had a set at home.

Running on a NA car you generally wouldnt need one that big, but from what i looked into it would be the cheapest upgrade. £110 for the radiator, £15 for hoses and then fabricate some new brackets, then look at some flexolite, kenlow or the like fans

you can get alum radiators off sfr that are the same fitting as stock.

Seems like i might need a few extra bits with this aluminium rad, I've found the exact replacement for £60 new in a box on ebay.

Think Im going to go for that and not take the risk, need the car up and running asap, thanks for that though
