As title says. My engine check light has come on permanently. The car seems to be driving fine and I called into the main dealer but there was no service staff working at 4pm. They just said if it runs ok bring it in on Monday and they will put the computer on it.
Its still under warrenty and I've only had it 3 weeks.
Any ideas?

Its gone out now. Still gonna get it checked anyway just to be certain.

The computer says NOOOOOO!
Actually it came back with "incorrect spark plug gaps".
I did feel it was ticking over a bit on the low side, about 700rpm, and seemed to be "hunting" the revs.
Since the check at the main dealer all is well.
The revs on tick over are slightly higher than before, about 750prm and it seems to tick over better.

Ive been looking through this thread as My warning light came on today, and has stayed on, seems to be running fine too, I will get intouch with the dealer on monday, as ive only had the car 5/6 days, but just wondering what the reset the ecu is about? and how would i do this? Any advice apreciated, Cheers

disconnect the negative battery terminal, pump the brakes a couple of times, then reconnect..

cross your fingers and fire her up

If i disconnect the battery does it screw up all the electrics, doors , locks etc...

No just your radio settings

i have the same cat/02 sensor code, i had a non-genuine replacement mani-cat fitted and check light comes on... my mechanic sed its prob the cat not being up to the same standard as the OE item but i cant afford a genuine one !!! runs fine though,prob just fit an obx 4-2-1 with de-cat, yes peeps found one that fits a gen 3 2ltr!!

I finally was told by the dealer it is a small crack on the manifold, Ive see alot of posts about that happening since i signed back on today! a common thing I guess.
its at the dealers untill thursday being braized repaired?? I dont know if anyone has had that done?

My Coupe has been seen 2 x by the used car dealer who sold me it and the light is still on. I did the battery on off thing as well. Anyway i spoke to local Hyundai dealer in North London and they ahve booked me in for a diagnostic check..cost £50 approx...is this usual price!

thats cheap, i got quoted £80 - £100 when i rang up.

£50 is good as far as I would know, ive also heard of people being quoted £90 - £100
I did see a diagnostic check machine for Hyundai Coupes on E-bay for about £50 +
I Called Hyundai in north London the other day , is that edgeware road Hendon ?
I called regarding manifolds and was quoted about £425 i think Should I eventually buy a new one. Waiting to see how long the Braized repair will last.
