Just stumbled across this . very interesting . bit of a read but worth it i reckon cos i know people who 'swear' by theese things

for those who cant click its explaining the science of oil additives and basically proving it as tosh

yeah ive read that before - long winded but very interesting.

my opionion is: the cleaner the oil, the happier your engine.

I never use engine flush, addatives or anything else like that - leant that the hard way after using Wynns engine flush and after that having blue smoke pour out the back of my old 306 forever more.

some of the crap in there actually helps to keep certain seals in tact.

exactly.
quality oil and regular changes with the filter is the best way

engine flush is pants anyway, it is basically designed to wear away any residue left, even though alot of the residue will be covering cracks etc up.

engine flush is fine on an engine <25k but any more than that and your just asking for trouble
