Hi all,

According to the MOT when i bought my Coupe, it will need an oil change and being 19 and not having a very good knowledge of cars (i'm a computer guy myself) i'm not sure what exactly this entails and how much i can expect to pay.

can someone give me an idea of what they'll do to it and how much i should be ready to pay for this kinda thing?

For an oil change they will un-screw the plug under the sump to drain all the oil out, then they will change the oil filter over and then they will screw the plug back in and then put the new oil in, don't know how much it will cost though, it cost me around £20 to do mine, but that was just oil and filter as I did my own, so maybe call it £30 plus labour?

It is quite simple to do mate, what Gen Coupe do you have, is it the Gen3?

Should be labour plus 15 mins so negotiate that

I have a gen 3.5 coupe

that guide should be spot on for you then mate, follow that to the T and you would be fine doing it yourself if you felt confident enough to do it that is.
