Just thought I would try some high temp paint on my heat shield

Lets see how long it lasts

Looking good mate, I'm wanting to spray mine but a bit nervous about taking the shield off, pretty sure I'm gonna find a manifold crack under there!

A nice clean engine bay as well, what did you use to clean it up?

I got the engine bay steam cleaned, then they sprayed it with some stuff that they use ????

It has lasted about a month now which is not bad. So I will ask what it is and let you know

If you cant buy it in a shop. I will look for something else.

The stuff i use is called CD2 its not cheap but last for ages

Hi Johnny5, I looked for CD2 in Halfords and a few other shops but could not find it.

Where did you get yours from ????

Just did a google search on CD2 and it appears that halfords have only recently stopped selling it, don't know the reason though

I got it from the chilwell branch in nottingham will have a look for you mate see if there is any still about for you. Going there in the morning i think.
