bloody hell you gotta no a friend of a friend or summin lol mine cost bout £6 for the belt n dads mate changed it for £30, do some shopping around must be cheaper than that should take bout hour n half labour. or buy the parts yourself then take it to a garage. thatl put the price down just dont tell em you got the parts untill they give you a price lol.

lol it would probably be around half of the dealer price.

with MOTs that cheap, be carefull mate - theres a few garages around my area doing that - but then they charge like £10-£15 to adjust the headlights etc which is usually a free job. Just make sure they dont try and make up their losses by finding other mysterious faults.

For my 50k service for timing belts etc, and 2 new front brake pads i got quoted £270 + VAT

anyone had a 50k service lately??? how much do you reckon a hyundai stealers would be charging at the mo?

Too be honest i think it's a disgrace how much they charge for service, specially the main dealers. They (not the main dealer) charge you 200 upwards & use crap oil & plugs etc. They race though it as fast as poss & don't even wait for the sump to fully empty before plugging it up again & re-oil. I just do the service myself & it costs around 80-90 quid all in using quality product

so at bout 50,000 miles you shud get ya timing belts changed aswell as your cam belts? wat oda things shud b changed at this stage?
as ive just bort mine just over 50,000 miles and i dont think theyve been changed well theres no reciept with car to state it been done

Timing belt = cam belt. They are one and the same belt. OK?
