Will the manifold off a Y reg Gen 2. Fit my R reg Gen 1 ????

And is there any difference between a 1.6 and a 2.0

Should fit but make sure the replacement one has 2 bolt flange fitting as I believe some of the gen 2's have a 3 bolt fitting.

Also, there are a few variants of the gen 1 manifold as I found out when I replaced mine - 3 in all. Some manifolds are 'bolted' on to the cat, whereas some are joined on to the cat and cannot be separated. If you intend to replace 'just' the manifold and not the cat, you may find that you have no choice with the gen 2 manifold - it will have the cat joined on anyway (I'm sure other people will correct me if I'm wrong). Other than that, just make sure the flnge that connects the cat to your exhaust will fit, i.e. 2 bolt design and not the 3 bolt design.

Yep mine is bolted on to the cat, so hopefully I will only have to look out for the number of bolts on the cat if thats all I can get around here

In short, the manifolds from all 2.0 Coupe`s will be interchangeable, but the 1.6 units will not fit if the car is Alpha-powered (I`m unsure about the 1.6 Beta-engined models, but I wouldn`t risk it!).
