15bhp or 25bhp for a few quid on eBay

The widgets advertised on ebay as a 'mod chip' which gives you 15 or 25bhp is simply a resistor worth about 10p.

It fools the cars ecu in to running rich (which Coupes do a bit anyway) to try and get a bit more power, however this thing will not improve your car and will eventually make it go bang!

Thanks for the info, I was at 1 time considering bying one of these so called chips but decided against it after reading some of the feedback.

I buyed that little c..p from ebay,there is some kind of info written,starts with USE AT YOUR OWN RISK...don't have the courage to put it in!

not trying to strt a fight but i have had one of these in my car for 27000 miles now had no probs at all had it on the dyno and it gave a 14ish bhp increase over stock ..

my fuel econamy has got better and their seens to be more torque

but the car didnt like it till i fitted the green induction kit

The resister mod is a waste of time and can screw your motor .As the gent said the resister is around 10 pence to buy and its just fools the ecu so it adds more fuel but as we all know more fuel needs more air to create more power . A weaker running motor is faster than a rich one so simply get more air in with a 57i or simular . My Skyline runs a RWBHP of 560 hp and will lose 40 of that if i take off my Trust Greddy suction kit and replace it with the standard so i guess you could expect 10-15 hp gain on a coupe . I am looking for info on whats the best filter to buy for my coupe so any help would be great .

hey all new to the forum but know a lil bit about this stuff the cheap chips r a waste of money cuz it needs the exact resistance to work correctly

the ecotek widgets r very DANGEROUS do not fit them if u like ur car here have been sevel court cases agaist the company for false advertising and also they attach to ur brake system and can cause a pressure lose in the brake system which means u basially could have no brakes then ouchy ouchy ur coupes in a hedge

tuning a car is not cheap it a case of how deep is your pocket. on the up side the coupe is a fairly powerfull car anyway 130+mph on todays roads that should be enough for anyone. :bang

I bought the resistor mod, and an ecotek and a surbo, when I had my coupe. It dyno'd at 390 at the WHEELS.

It just sounds like you guys are jealous.
