My local dealer (Orchard Hyundai of Northampton) has recently folded and the nearest one is some considerable distance away. As the scoupe is now out of warranty, and over 3 years old, I was contemplating using a 'normal' garage instead. Has anyone had any experience of using such a place and what was their experience (quality of work, pricing, thourougness, etc) of doing so?. Also has anyone used a KIA garage as I understand many of the parts are common to both marques? The 50K service and first MOT were completed earlier this year so I'm hoping for some cheaper bills as well

hello mate. I wouldnt use a main dealer for anything, unless to buy certain parts. I bought a brand new Vauxhall Corsa SRi 16v - 2001Y) and only ever took it to Vauxhall once. Warranty was still covered.

It is best to establish a relationship with a local garage witha good workshop. Best way to do this is through word of mouth. You will find that mpre often than not, these people are passionate about the cars they work on (also if they see how much you care for yours). Ask your friends and family for details of garages they use or have heard of. Also, if you need parts and advise feel free to post here.

lol i know about orchard as well they folded as they were not doing things correclty, like serviceing and stuff. and your saying the nearest one is some considerabel distance MK Hyundai in stony is the nearest and the best in the area of east angila. (not just bigging it up coz my dad is a manager) go there and if you mention they club they may give you a discount.
