i take it if the harness is fitted its just a case of plugging the heater in 1 end and the switch at the other?

would the hyundai dealer be able to tell if the wiring is in?

Yes I thought this BUT not many GEN3 coupes (if any) destined for the uk actually have the wiring, even if they do you still need the relays and control modules. I have the Waeco Kit which comes with EVERYTHING for easy DIY fit and then I also purchased the genuine switches. The Waeco Kit also has 2 heat settings and thermostat. So basically my seats look as if they were fitted at the factory! I have the normal heated seat switches and then the 2 thermostat set switches around the gear console at a fraction of what it would cost you to buy the stuff from hyundai, not to mention the additional loom, control unit and relays. In terms of that OEM kit from Hyundai You would think that by just pluggins the switches in and fitting the heated pads under the seats, they would work but that isnot the case as I discovered.

Thanks for looks BUT This installation uses the Waeco heated seat pads which are the ones I used and it doesn't use any of the Hyundai wiring. It utilises the Hyundai switches like I have used and it uses the supplied relays and control unit.

do you have any pics of your motor with the switches fitted, i would like them in the proper place if its not too much of a ball ache,how easy is it to wire them up for use with your kit

The two spare switches to the right of the hazard switch. I paid £24 for 2 switches from the dealer but I believe KDM guy does them cheaper. It's easy to wire them up. All instructions come with the kits. The additional switches are mounted by the gearlever, these are for the heat settings. I can't do any photos.

do the standard seats have airbags fitted?

Reading through the advert from Dreamka4u it states that the heated seats come as a full kit but you must first check that the wiring is there. To be sure I spoke to the service technician at Hyundai yesterday when my coupe went in for it's service and he informed me that apart from the heated pads and switches everything is already there for the heated seats wiring etc. I might just go for the OEM heated kit from Dreamka4u, at $150 (£76.38) they just have to be a bargain.
