Hub has been replaced, and front arm , new RX8 alloys fitted.... however from picking it up, the only way i can describe it is that its like half the power steering has gone, and when i turn , like on roundabouts or round corners, once i have pulled the wheel to the left or right, once the manoevure is complete, the wheel wont spin in my hands back to centre like it used to, it just stays where it is, and you have to pull it back manually to centre...

Sounds like the suspension geometry is screwed. The caster in the suspension causes the self-centering. Seems like you don't have any anymore

Other possibility. Steering rack damaged?

Definately sounds like a geomotry problem but could be a range of other problems. What did you do to it?? (i can't remember)

How much am i looking for a steering rack, and or the suspension thingy you mentioned? roughly?

I just paid £671 for a new front arm, new hub and wheel bearings, with labour and vat

Could be a tracking problem, there is a tracking rod that should push the wheels back to pointing forward

The garage have just called, they said their is a lot of play in the steering rack, so it either needs a new one, or for mine to be reconditioned, they have said im looking at a couple of hundred quid, and about £140 labour...

sounds a bit steep to me, or is that about right?
