Great car, bodywork etc.

Issues:

Needs front wheel bearings replaced

Needs 2 new leads (spark plugs)

Auto ariel doesn't work (motor does but ariel is snapped)

How much would you expect for it?

Been quoted about £450 for the repairs above

Got 2 people interested but they want me to name a price and I really have no idea at all

Well 450 for the repairs is a poor price you should be able to get that work done for half at least. Who has said that both front wheel bearings are slop? If its the same person who's given the quote them i'd tell em to foxtrot oscar Asap.

2 garages both similar quotes £175 per wheel. Seen the state of them, both defo wrecked.

Anyways:

Bearings - fair enough price, could be captive hubs. If so they can be a swine...
Aerial - trivial. Get a short screw-in jobbie from ebay and listen to CD's. Or theres a couple folks breaking their gen1's and 2's at the minute, they'll sort you an aerial for peanuts...
Plugleads - from someone breaking or £30odd from Halfords...

Seem like trivial reasons to bin the car, IMO, but most R and S reg 2.0 manual Coupes round my way are being sold for about a grand on forecourts.

Not got a photo to hand, but it is in great condition (no rust etc)

The fact that I paid £250 quid in dec for MOT, and £130 in Oct for some sensor thingy means that it is getting to the point where I have had enough.

Want to get rid.
