I know this has been spoken about before sorry, but im just lookin to get your thoughts and what you recommend here....

As i said in one of my other posts, my cousin is a mechanic and has a good bunch of mates who are heavily into modifying their cars. One of which knows somone else who can do an ECU remap. Ther is a few guys looking to get theres done at the end of next month. Being the nice chap that he is, ha, and working for himself he has said that he will do this for £90. Fully legitimate and done properly. All i will have done to my coupe by then is fitting the new cat back exhaust, and if im honest thats probably all i'll be doing with it, (not changing the headers or cams etc).

So my question is... Would you recommend it or otherwise...? And is there any common problems that could maybe occur from doing this that you know of.?

Plenty of my mates have had cars remapped with no problem coming from it, and i only really started considering it because it was going cheap but i just thought i'd ask you guys before making any decision.

Check with him first to make sure he is definitely able to remap your ECU mate, i was under the impression that it was virtually impossible, hence everyone seeming to go for a piggyback or standalone tuning option
