my car has FSH, but i just serviced it at home, should i write in my service manual ''home service'' and the milage? And it wont still be classed as full service history isit?

nope, wont be classed as a real service - personally... hmm i wouldnt write in the service book - up to you really. Would be a good idea to note down though service done, what parts etc - and keep the receipts with that, along with a odometer reading from the day so at least new buyers can see you did really do it

As above +1 - to be classified as a service, it needs that garage stamp in the book.

TBH, I always take FSH with a pinch of salt and would much rather see invoices for parts with the mileage recorded. Thats what I've always done and it's received well by buyers I've sold to in the past.

ok cheers for the replies guys. think ill just do that, provide the receipt for the parts and write the milage and just pop in the service manual. Well its up for sale in the next fortnight hopefully if anyones looking for a decent v6

paperwork and receipts are worth alot more than a FSH.

Think of it the other way, if you have 3 friends that work in garages they can always stamp a book and put a previous date on it, they will struggle to give receipts from numerous dates on from throughout the years

true enough and knwo a few people who have done that and for big jobs like timing belts aswell, so not really truthful at all. ok cheers peeps
