Got into my coupe (Gen1) yesterday and started car, then (stupidly?) put demisters on then got out, closed door and went to scrape car. Halfway round scraping heard a click and the central locking had locked itself (with the keys still in ignition and engine running!! So was sat in my street for 2 hours with this car running itself waiting for my friend to arrive to use her AA card to get into my car (yeah coathanger would have worked but couldnt get into my flat as keys to that are on keyring car keys are so couldnt even get spare key either!!!

Have heard of Central Locking failing - is this one of the problems? Presumably just the outside temp tho as it still works fine and hasn't done it since?

it is the start of the illustrious actuator problems.now its done it once dont leave your keys in car

yeah that will be sure to not do that again! Noticed today when locking it that it didnt plip but did lock ok. Is it usually drivers or passenger side that fails, have door card off drivers side to fix window (what a pain it came off runner after AA man prised it to get car open!) so if its drivers side maybe worth doing at same time?

tbh you cant tell.it sounds like your drivers one but you cant be sure and one usually follows the other.so its usually best to do both.look on ebay hyundai coupe actuators

tbh its hyundai actuators as a whole.the lantra was as bad
