Over the last 4yrs I've owned an 04 plate 2.0SE and can honestly say it's been a pleasant ownership experience - great looking car the Coupe but having test-driven a MK5 Golf GTI last week I realised what I'd been missing regarding performance/handling so I couldn't resist.

I've visited this forum on & off for the last 4yrs & it's a great place for Coupe owners, it's certainly answered quite a few questions for me over the years. It's a shame that Hyundai didn't replace the Coupe here in the UK more quickly as I may well have stayed - I think they've probably lost many past Coupe owners to other marques as a result on no new coupe

Anyway, thanks to everyone who helped me out over the last few years

MkV i presume the 2.0 turbo with seamless gearchange etc? Nice choice, nice car. IMO nothing on looks, but build quality in golfs are brilliant and with all that extra vrrroooom i can see why you deferred

Golfs for me somewhat lost their appeal after the mkII GTi - lardy and slow after... Until the GT TDI came along with the 6spd, and now they do a similar model with the DSG! Nice...
