Had a little fun today after work in the snow.
Where i work the car park is quite large, everyone parks at the front leaving down the side of the shop where i park practically untouched. Now after a couple of days the snow has turned a little icey so today me and my work mates had a play.
I never drifted round a corner before so taking advantage of the slipery surface i gave it a go......and WOOHOO! that got the adrenaline going, full lock hand brake then turn the opposite direction YAY! My work mate then tried this in his mondeo and oh dear he was terrible at it, this then spured him on to drift better than me!
Such fun! Anybody else had any fun using snow?



To avoid conflict the car park was empty, we were at very low speeds, and on the roads i would never attempt anything so risky!

Sounds like fun! I saw 3 lads in hot hatches doing the same today (in the car park at Dudley where the Brum meet was a couple of weeks ago). But I had my kids with me and they wouldn't let me try it because it was 1. too embarrassing to have ther mum behave in such a way and 2. too dangerous (teenagers are such spoilsports eh?!)

lost traction a bit on a r'bout when leaving work the other day. got a bit of understeer... but nothing too bad yet! and nothing done on purpose

saw a scooby having a bit of fun and showin off.....came out of a spin backwards....into a bollard :-( needless to say to quickly moved out of sight

Same here, got called into work yesterday (downside to working for a service company), yet there was only 2 of us, and the entire carpark for 7 units was empty, so enjoyed myself on the way in and out of it.

Yes I've had a bit of fun aswell ... Although my handbrake is useless which is a bit of dis-appointment, but did a bit of driftin in't car park, tbh I think it is good practice in the unlikely event of you ever loosin the back end when on a spirited drive, I think they should open up a massive car ice ring (not just a tiny skid pan lol :P) ... Although there was one strange moment, 2nd gear, 10mph, turn a 90 degree-ish corner and back end steps out ... Been strange in some places though with the Proxies on, was drivin home one night and at about 40 I felt the front end movin about lol, felt a bit strange lol ... Incidentally, the Michelin Pilots (I have them on the back) have been really good in the icy weather

ha none of you have ever lived.buy a ford capri with rear wheel drive,take your slab and bag of sand out of the boot........and..........sheer bliss!

i must say I am now savin for a battered rear wheel drive car for next winter lol :P

in the snow RWD wins hands down for fun factor and danger factor
