MPG!!!

the digital guess-O-meter is just that, it tries to guess the mileage left from your previous driving style. Its pretty awful in terms of accuracy, other cars do it fine but the coupe got a bit cheaped out there i think :roll:

i know i should have really, but i thought ''ah small miles, be nice to have something with a bit of poke even though the mielage is small'', but, lessons learned, ill be sorry when pay day automatically loses Â£100 per month instead of what i use to pay as Â£40.

Its the short trips that kill your MPG, the car doesn't warm up properly and then its cooling down again. Plus the very short trips is usually stop start aswell all of which goes towards bad MPG. (Could also be your driving style affecting it but I couldn't comment on that

)

priced a service today Â£225, NO CHANCE!!!! will buy the parts as said before and get the old man to help. ye, well like i said my mielage is around 4-12miles daily, and i notice the movement, i filled up today to the brim, told me i should get 240miles to empty, but i have changed my odomoeter now to see how far i actually get instead. but driving very carefully!!!! seems like its worse than all yours, will service it next weekend and hopefully should help, why would this help tho?? because of better oil and air flow or something? still undecided of what spark plugs to get :bang

BOSCH super 4 for Â£2.99 seem to cheap, and champion Â£9.21 seems alot then!!

BOSCH Super4 are a good plug, mate - used to run those in our old gen1.

Changing the plugs on the V6 is a bit of a mare, apparently, as the inlet manifold has to come off so's you can get to the other bank of plugs. Not just a Hyundai issue, most FWD V6 cars are the same, TBH...

I've mentioned this before but back in 2003 I had a couple of Tiburons in Canada with the V6 engines -BOTH got 15MPG around town which I thought was bloody awful!

However, on a very long run I got 38MPG and I was not hanging around by any stretch of the imagination

V6 engines are really designed for more relaxed motorway/highway duties at the end of the day in my NSHO :mrgreen:
