Booked the Coupe in for its first service, dropped it in this morning everything looking pristine and shiny. Got a call about 4pm to say it was ready to pick up and they’d just cleaned it. Off I went to pick it up about 5pm before I went to pay and collect my keys I thought I’d have a look around it as the last 4 times I’ve taken a car to Holdcroft it’s come back with something wrong, granted they’ve been minor things but they weren’t there when I took it in. Bonnet scratched; parcel shelf lugs broke, wheels kerbed, seat leather scuffed. Straight away I saw a long mark across the bonnet where a hose had been stretched across, the car was clean except for the dirt marks off this hose, I took a closer look and could see under the dirt marks white scratch lines (my coupe is stone black) one of them 3-4 inches long and through the lacquer . I went inside and asked for someone to take a look as it certainly wasn’t there when I dropped it off. The first person to look said “we haven’t done thatâ€

In the end the manager said that he'd sort it out and that they didn't have a leg to stand on, I'll give them the opportunity to put it right if they then see what sort of compensation they can come up with. The other occasions I've either had total deniability or I just didn't want the hassle of telling them as I know how much they wind me up by denying it. This time I'll make sure they don't get off with it.
