I know this question is gonna sound stupid. Is it safe to put me gen 1 through the car wash without the factory fit spoiler on the back being ripped of buy the car wash machine?

no, it's not the laquer on your spoiler will scratch..

(it's not safe to put any car through them imo)

Car washes are waste of time , with the Coupe having all the curves ... the car wash misses most of it out

I have been using for a weeks and am amazed everytime I use the stuff, in particular the which allows you to clean, clay and canuba wax your car anywhere without water.. and it really does work.. spotless shiney car with no scratches...

This is my car on sunday, I had washed it using smart one and waxed using Concours Paste Wax on the friday morning, drove 200 miles to USC, recleaned the bugs off the bonnet/bumper using smart one again on saturday, it then sat through on and off rain on the saturday and sunday afternoon when these pics were taken..



I think it shows the shiney finish retained

On a more serious note - I have spent the last two years trying to get rid of the damage done by 7 years of car wash's. Not yet gone down the clay route (I may not have the patience to spend hours detailing my car )

i haven't been to a single car wash sine i owned my car coming on 8 years.

buy some garden hose filters. they will stop mineral deposits being left on the car. and when you water your plants, there will be no chlorine or other crud.

they work pretty good, and they're cheap nowadays. just don't leave it out in the winter like i did
